Answer :
In the story 'A Shady Plot' by Elsie Brown, John Hallock's wife Lavinia had organized an Ouija board party for her book club friends in her house. Helen had sent the narrator to the party with the main aim of convincing the ladies present to stop the use of the Ouija board in return for her help in writing his horror story. Helen, the ghost, was busy answering the numerous questions asked from the different Ouija boards and this made her tired and exhausted. So, Helen appeared in bits and pieces.
