The King would have saved the injured man even if he had known that the injured man was his enemy. This is because the king was a kind and loving person. He wouldn't he hurt an insect. The king believed in Dharma and so he knew hurting anyone is a sin. The king was also smart enough to know what to do about the enemy after saving him. The king was an expert in handling situations like these.
