● The surface of a solid takes the most active part in adsorption.
● When we calculate the adsorption of a solid we calculate the highest adsorption or highest adsorption rate.
● If the surface is not clean then the active surface of the solid taking part in adsorption is lessened.
● If the rate of adsorption lessens then we will not find the highest rate of adsorption.
● This will cause errors in our calculation as we calculate the highest adsorption rate.
● In chemistry we have to calculate free of error otherwise it would cause a big error which would change the whole meaning of the calculation.
