Given - Even number and prime number

Find - Probability

Solution - The probability of getting an even number and the prime number is 1/2 and 1/2.

The even numbers in dice are - 2, 4 and 6.

The prime numbers in dice are - 2, 3 and 5.

Probability = number of favourable outcomes/total number of outcomes

The number of favourable outcomes is the same in both cases = 3

The total number of outcomes is also the same = 6

Probability = 3/6

Probability = 1/2

So, the probability of getting an even number and the prime number is 1/2 and 1/2.
