SOLUTION :

Given :

Base = 12 cm.

Height = 5 cm.

Hypotenuse = [ Base^2 + Height^2 ]

=> [ 12^2 + 5^2 ]

=> { 169 }

=> 13 cm .

Semiperimeter = [ a + b + c ] / [ 2 ] = [ 12 + 5 + 13 ] / [ 2 ] = 15

Area of Triangle = [ { s } { s - a } { s - b } { s - c } ]

=> √ [ { 15 } { 15 - 12 } { 15 - 5 } { 15 - 13} ]

=> [ 15 × 3 × 10 × 2 ]

=> 3 × 2 × 5

=> 30 cm^2

Hence the area of Triangle ABC = 30 cm^2.......(A)
