Question:-

In the triangle ABC the area of the triangle is 65cm^2 and the height is 10 cm find the base BC of the

triangle ABC

To find:-

BC, the base of the triangle

Solution:-

Height of ∆ABC=10cm

Base(BC) of ∆ABC=?

As we know area of triangle=

1/2×base×height

or,

1/2bh

By plugging the known values we get

1/2×b×10cm=65cm^2

By cancelling with 2 we get,

13cm

Therefore base of triangle is 13cm

Verification:-

Height of ∆Abc=10cm

Base of ∆Abc=13cm

Area of ∆=

1/2×base×height

By plugging the values we get

1/2×13cm×10cm

By cancelling with two we get,

65cm^2
