Answer:

Given :-

A triangle ABC with vertices A (2,3), B (4, -1) and C (1 ,2)

To find :- Equation of AD

F

Solution:-

Slope of BC,

m =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}  \\ m =  \frac{2 - ( - 1)}{1 - 4}  \\ m =  \frac{3}{ - 3}  \\  =  > m =  - 1

As AD is perpendicular to BC.

So, slope of AD, = 1

Equation of AD passing through A(2, 3) having slope 1 is given by

y - 3 = 1 × (x - 2)

y - 3 = x - 2

x - y + 1 = 0.
