In the triangle PQR, PQ = 2ā and QR = 25. The mid-point of PR is M. Find following
vectors in terms of ā and b.
(i) PR
(ii) PM
(iii) QM

Answer:

if you meant QR as vector 2b then PR vector would be PQ vector + QR vector. Thus PR vector is 2a +2b....

PM thus would be half of PR vector

ie: PM=a+b....

QM vector would be QP vector + PM vector

since PQ is 2a QP would be -2a

thus QM vector=a+b-2a=b-a
