The price of B has increased by 40%.

Correct option is (E): None of these

Step-by-step explanation:

Let price of B is RS 100

As per problem .therefore price of A will be RS 117, now in 2016, price of A is increased by 40%

Therefore price of A will be RS 117+117 x 40/100

= RS. 163.80

Now as per condition A's price is 17% more than B's price

Therefore price of B = 163.8/1.17

= Rs 140

Hence the price of B has increased by 40%.
