In the year 2016, the total strength of student in 3 colleges X, Y and Z in a city were in a ratio 482:5. The strength of college Y was 1000. The proportion of girls and boys in
all the colleges was in the ratio 2:3. The faculty wise distribution of boys and girls in arts,
science and commerce was in the ratio 1:2:2 in all 3 colleges. Prepare a table to fit the above
data.

Given :-

☆ The ratio of Number of boys to girls is 8:5 . There are 260 girls

Explanation :-

☞ Let Number of Boys be 'x'

☆ According to the Question :-

$\begin{gathered}\tt {\implies}\dfrac {8}{5} = \dfrac {x}{260} \\ \\ \tt {\implies}\: 5x = 260 × 8 \\ \\ \tt {\implies}\: x = \dfrac {260 × 8}{5} \\ \\ \tt {\implies}\red {x = 416}\end{gathered} </p><p>$

Total no of students = Number of boys + Number of girls

= 416 + 260 = 676

Hence, No.of Students in School = 676
