In this electromagnetic induction by coils experiment, why the galvanometer in the secondary coil is not deflecting even though the current is passed continuously in primary coil?

due to decrease in electric current decrease in magnetic field strength in it. ... when current pass through the galvanometer it gives a deflection but in opposite direction. iii) when current continues to flow in the coil C₁, there is no deflection seen in the galvanometer due to no change in magnetic lines of force.
