Let y = 3a and z = 7a

if AB ll CD and CD ll EF then we can say that AB ll EF

As AB ll EF

So, $\sf\green{x \ = \ z}$ .... (i)

(alternate interior angles)

⇒ x + y = 180°

(sum of angles on the same side of transversal is = 180°)

⇒ z + y = 180° ... from eq (i)

⇒ 7a + 3a = 180°

⇒ 10a = 180°

⇒ a = $\frac{180}{10}$

⇒ $\sf\green{a \ = \ {18}^{°}}$

y = 3a = 3 × 18 = $\sf\green{{54}^{°}}$

z = 7a = 7 × 18 = $\sf\green{{126}^{°}}$
