In this problem, if we take the breadth as 4 metres and length
as 5 metres, the area is 20 square metres; the area given is
16 times this area. Why is it not right to calculate the breadth
as 16 times 4 and length as 16 times 5?

Answer:

16 times of area given means 16(20)=320 ---(1)

if you consider length as 16×5 and breadth as 16×4

the area is equivalent to (16×5)+(16×4)

I.e.,144

which is not same as (1)
