Answer:

(a) 150ml : 1L

1L = 1000ml

150ml : 1000ml

(1) Convert the bigger SI unit to the smaller SI unit (L to ml)

(2) Write the converted answer into ratio (150ml : 1000ml)

(3) If possible, divide both sides by the smaller amount. Only if it doesn't give any decimals (If you divide 1000 by 150 you get 6.67 which is a decimal so don't divide. 150ml : 1000ml is your final answer)

(b) 25p : 10 rupees

10 rupees = 1000p

25p : 1000p

1p : 40p

(1) Convert bigger unit to smaller( 10 rupees to paise)

(2) Write as ratio ( 25p : 1000p)

(3) Divide both sides by the smaller amount if it will not give you a decimal (25p ÷25p : 1000p ÷ 25p. It's gives you 1p : 40p which isn't a decimal so that is your final answer)
