Let the 4 numbers in AP be a-3d,a+d,a-d,a+3d. ---- (1)
Given that Sum of 4 terms = 32
a - 3d + a + d + a - d + a + 3d = 32
4a = 32
a = 8.
Substitute a = 8 in (1) we get, (8-3d),(8+d),(8-d),(8+3d).
Given that 1st and 4th product = 2nd and 3d product in the ratio of 7:15.
(8 - 3d) * (8 + 3d) / (8 + d) * (8 - d) = 7/5
d = +2 (or) - 2.
Substitute d = 2 in (1), we get
a - 3d = 8 - 3(2) = 2
a - d = 6
a + d = 10
a + 3d = 8 + 3(2) = 14.
