In three colored boxes - red, green and blue, 108 balls are placed. there are twice as many balls in the green and red boxes combined as there are in the blue box and twice as many in the blue box as there are in the red box. how many balls are there in the green box?

here,
let number of green box balls be x,
let number of red box balls be y,
let number of blue box balls be z.
then,
x+y+z=108 ...................(1),
(x+y)=2(z)
→x+y=2z .....................(2),
and,
z=2x ..........................(3)
Using equation (3) in equations (1) and (2),
(1)→3x+y=108 and
(2)→x+y=4x or y=3x
from equations 1 and 2,
108 = 6x
or
x = 18,
therefore y = 3(18) = 54.
SO THERE ARE 54 BALLS IN GREEN BOX.
