The length of the foam will be longest in the test tube A because the soap added in water will easily form foam with distilled water.

In the underground water and the water with pinch of calcium sulphate, the calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium ( Mg2+) ions reacts with sodium salts present in soap, resulting in formation of lather which in turn hinders the foam production.

In test tube A the length of the froth be longest on the grounds that cleanser structure froth effectively with refined water.

Underground water and calcium sulfate containing water when respond with structure don't shape froth.

It frames rubbish because of calcium and magnesium salts.

This is the reason it is so hard to shape foam in hard water, the calcium and magnesium particles respond with the unsaturated fats, rather to frame these insoluble lime cleansers.
