In three test tubes. Fill ½ of each test tube with water. Label them as

x, y and z. Keep amoebae in Test-tube x, a water plant in test-tube y and

keep amoebae and plant in test-tube z. Which test-tube would have the least

concentration of carbon dioxide? Why?​

Explanation:

Photosynthesis occurs only in the light conditions. So, in the tubes B and C photosynthesis takes place. In tube B the oxygen is inhaled by the snail, but in the tube C oxygen gets accumulated. So, the highest concentration of oxygen is present in the tube C.

Dark respiration takes place in the dark and it releases Carbon dioxide. Tubes F, G and H releases carbon dioxide. Bit in the tube F, both the plant and the snail releases carbon dioxide and makes it a higher concentration. So, the higher concentration of carbon dioxide is found in the tube F.
