In today's ICSE English Literature paper, what would be the answer to the question in The Patriot that where does the speaker think all the people had gathered that day ,why does he think so

the speaker thinks that all the people had gone to the shambel's gate where he is going to be hanged and he thinks that way bcz. when he was passing through the house he could see only the paralised person sitting near the window and not the gud people.

The speaker thinks that all the people would gather at the Shambels gate to see his execution and to see him hanged.He thinks so bcoz there were not even a single person at the house top and by the street .Only the palsied people were sitting on their window.
