QT is 8

Step-by-step explanation:

apply area theorem, 1/2×10×12=1/2×15×x

so x = 8.

Answer:

For triangle PQR,PS is an external altitude

•°• PS = Height= 10

and to altitude PS base is QR which is 12

•°• Area of triangle PQR with altitude PS will be =

area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times altitude  \times base \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 10 \times 12 \\  = 5 \times 12 \\  = 60

Now, With internal altitude QT and base PR area of triangle PQR will be same

Let QT be x

Now,

area = 60 \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height = 60 \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times 15 \times x = 60 \\  \frac{15x}{2}  = 60 \\ 15x = 120 \\ x =  \frac{120}{15 }  \\ x = 8

•°• Value of QT will be 8

•°• option (2) is correct

Hope this helps you
