now by just looking at the given hints in question we can say.. angle y is equal to the angle CDA (angles opposite to same sides)

now so angle CDA can also be written as 'y'

now

y +y + 98(opposite angles are same)=180 (sum of angles of triangle)

2y=180-98=82

y =  \frac{82}{2}  = 41

y= 41

now x= 180-y (straight line or linear angle)

x=180-41

x=139
