by heron's formula area = √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
where s= semi perimeter
s=(11+12+13)/2
= 18
therefore area= 61.48( by putting the value of "s" In above equation)
also ww know that
area = 1/2 * base * height
therefore 61.48= 1/2* ab* height(or altitude)
= 1/2*11*h
h= 11.1cm

Answer:

2.90

Step-by-step explanation:

a=11

b=12

c=13

s=a+b+c/2=11+12+13/2=36/2=18

area of triangle =root(18*(18-11)(18-12)(18-13)

=root18*9*6*5=4860

sqrt of 4860=69.71

area of triangle is 69.71 cm^2

area of triangle =1/2*b*h

69.71=1/2*12*h=2.90
