so, if angle b = 70 then, angle c = 70 (corresponding sides are equal and corresponding angles are equal)
so, 70 + 70 + x = 180( sum of all angles)
140 + x = 180
x = 180 - 140
x = 40
therefore angle a equals 40 degrees
