area of triangle = 1/2 base*height

60 = 1/2 *10*x

60= 5x

or , x= 60/5

so x= 12 cm^2 is your answer...

Step-by-step explanation:

In ∆ ABC ,

two sides AB & AC ( x cm ) are equal .

So , it's a isosceles triangle .

Area of isosceles triangle = (b/4)* √4a²-b²

60 = (10/4) * √4x²-100

60 × 4/10 = √4x²-100

24 = √4x²-100

576 = 4x² - 100

4x² = 676

x² = 169

x = 13 cm

So , two equal sides of this isosceles triangle

are 13 cm .
