In Triangle ABC, AD | BC . Find the length of BC.

Answer:

by Pythagoras in triangle ADC,

AC² = AD² + DC²

13². = 12² + DC²

169-144 = DC²

......DC² = 25

DC= 5 cm

similarly use Pythagoras in triangle ADB

You get BD = 5 cm

hence , BC = 5+5= 10 cm answer...

 \bold{AC² = AD² +  DC²}

 \bold{13² = 12² + DC²}

 \bold{169-144 = DC²}

 \bold{DC² = 25}

 \bold{DC= 5 cm}

 \bold{You \:  get \:  BD = 5 cm}
