In triangle ABC, AD bisects angle A, Prove that AB/BD=AC/DC

angle BAD=angle DAC
AD is common
BD=DC{AD bisects BC given}
therefore triangle BAD is congruent to triangle DAC

hence BD=DC. AB=AC
{corresponding parts of congruent triangles}
