area of triangle ABC = 1/2 ×b×h
=1/2×BC×AD
area of triangle BED = 1/2×BD×DE
= 1/2×BC/2×AD/2
=(1/2×BC×AD)/4
= area of ∆ABC/4
= 16/4
= 4

Area of Δbed = 4 cm²  , if e is mid point of median ad if area  of Δabc = 16 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle abc and e is the midpoint of the median ad

Median divides the triangle into two equal area traingle

ad is median

=>  Area of Δabd  = Δacd  = Δabc/2

 Area of Δabc  16 cm²

=>  Area of Δabd = 16/2

=> Area of Δabd = 8 cm²

e is the midpoint of the median ad

=> be is median of Δabd

=> area of Δabe =  Δbed = Area of Δabd/2

=> area of Δbed = 8/2

=> area of Δbed = 4 cm²
