In triangle ABC
A=40°
B=80°
C=?

As we know sum of all side of a triangle is 180°
by Angle sum property.

A + B + C = 180° (A.S.P)
40° + 80° + C = 180°
120° + C = 180°
C = 180 - 120°
C = 60°

Largest side is "B" = 80°
Smallest side is "A" = 40°

Given:

Measurement of the given angle A = 40°

Measurement of the given angle B = 80°

To find:

The smallest and the largest side.

Solution:

First, let us find out the third angle (say ∠C) of the triangle. Since the sum of angles in a triangle is 180°, thus:

40° + 80° + C = 180°

120° + C = 180°

∠C = 60°

Since the largest angle is ∠B and the smallest angle is ∠A, thus the sides opposite to ∠B and ∠A will be the largest and the smallest sides respectively.
