Angle A + angle B + angle C = 180°(angle sum property of triangle). 70°+30°+angle C =180°, 100°+angle C =180°,angle C =180°-100°,angleC= 80°.
angle C =80° is the largest angle.
AB is the longest side ( side opposite to the greatest angle is always the longest side).
Hope it help you.

Answer:

In the triangle ABC, the longest side is AB side.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given in the ΔABC (as shown the attached figure below)

The value of angle, ∠A = 70°

The value of angle, ∠B = 30°

First, we have to find the value of angle ∠C,

We know that, from geometry the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180°.

Therefore, ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

70° + 30° + ∠C = 180°

∠C = 180° - 100°

∠C = 80°

In a triangle, the longest side in a triangle is always opposite the largest angle. similarly, the shortest side of the triangle is opposite the smallest angle.

Here, the largest angle is ∠C .

The side opposite to the angle ∠C is AB. (as shown in the figure)

Therefore, the longest side of the ΔABC will be side AB.
