To find  :  AD​

Solution:

ΔADB  and ΔCDA

∠DBA  =  ∠DAC    ( ∵ each  90° - ∠C)

∠ADB  = ∠CDA  =  90°

=> ΔADB ≈ ΔCDA  ( AA)

AD/CD   = BD/AD

=> AD² = BD * CD

=> AD²  = 5 * 7.2

=> AD² = 36

=> AD   = 6
