Answer:

In ∆ABD,

angle D=90°

B=45°

A=180-(90+45)

=45°

the angles are in the ratio,

45:45:90

= 1:1:√2

=AD:BD:AB

= AD:X

AD÷X= 1÷√2

√2AD=1

AD=1÷√2
