Given:-

angle B=90°

AB=5cm

BC=12cm

from the figure we can understand that we've to find Hypotenuse(side opposite to a right angle of a triangle) for finding perimeter

Here

remaining side is AC

using Pythagorean Theorem

Hypotenuse²=base²+altitude²

Hypotenuse²=5²+12²=25+144

Hypotenuse²=169

Hypotenuse=√169

Hypotenuse=13

therefore the side AC is 13 cm

now we've to find the perimeter

from the data, it's sure that it's a right triangle.

and now we've to find it's perimeter

we know triangle is a closed polygon

and for a closed polygon,the perimeter=sum of it's all sides.

Here

Perimeter=AB+BC+AC

Perimeter=5+12+13

Perimeter=30

therefore the perimeter is 30cm.
