The given triangle is a right angle triangle.

Given in the question,

m∠BAC=90° and m∠BCA=30°

We have to prove,

AB=\frac{1}{2}BC

From the properties of triangle,

\sin \theta=\frac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

Here,

θ = 30°,

Perpendicular = AB,

Hypotenuse = BC

Putting the values in the formula,

\Rightarrow \sin 30=\frac{AB}{BC}

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2}=\frac{AB}{BC}

\Rightarrow AB=\frac{1}{2}BC
