Corrected question: In triangle ABC, ∠C = 90° AC = BC = 6 cm, find AB.

The length of AB is 6\sqrt{2} cm

  • Given,

                    ∠C = 90°

                   AC = BC = 6 cm

  • ABC is right angle isosceles triangle with right angle at C and AC,BC as equal sides.
  • We know that, in a right angle triangle

                   hyp^{2}=opp^{2}+adj^{2}

         Here,

                   AB^{2}=AC^{2}+BC^{2}

                   AB^{2}=6^{2}+6^{2}

                   AB^{2}=36+36

                    AB=\sqrt{72}

                    AB=6\sqrt{2} cm
