In triangle ABC, AT perpendicular to BC. If AT=4 cm and BC=3 cm then find A(ABC)

AT perpendicular BC

by phythagoras theorem

AC = TC2 + AT2

AC = (3/2)sqr + 4 sqr

= 9/4 + 16

= (9 + 64)

AC = 73/4

Area of triangle ABC = (1/2 × base × height)×2

=( 1/2 × 3/2 × 4)×2

= 6

Area of triangle ABC = 6 cm sqr
