Given :  triangle abc, bc is produced to d,

∠acd = 110°

ab = ac

To Find : ∠a

Solution:

∠acd = 110°

∠c + ∠acd = 180°   Linear Pair

=> ∠c + 110° = 180°

=> ∠c = 70°

ab = ac

=> ∠b = ∠c

=> ∠b = 70°

in Δabc

∠a + ∠b + ∠c  = 180°

=> ∠a + 70° + 70° = 180°

=> ∠a + 140° = 180°

=> ∠a   =  40°
