To prove-: E is mid point of line AC
( AE = EC )
proof-:
In ∆ABC. DE ll AC
AD/DB = AE/EC ( by B.P.T.)
AD/AD = AE/EC. ( since AD = DB )
1= AE/EC
by cross multiplication
AE = EC
therefore E is mid point of AC.
Hence proved
