Given :-

  • In triangle ABC, DE || AB.
  • CD = 3 cm.
  • EC = 4 cm.
  • BE = 6 cm.

To Find :-

  • DA = ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • When a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points, then the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.

given that,

  • DE || AB .

so,

→ CD / DA = CE / EB

putting values we get,

→ 3 / DA = 4 / 6

→ 3 / DA = 2 / 3

→ 2DA = 3 * 3

→ DA = 9 / 2

→ DA = 4.5 cm. (3) (Ans.)
