In triangle ABC, DE||BC. If DE=2/3 BC and area of triangle ABC=81cm^2, then find the area of triangle DAE.​

by B.P.T, AD/AB = AE/AC

Also, angle A is a common angle....

therefore ABC and ADE are similar..

now, since DE/BC = 2/3,

ar( ADE) /ar(ABC) = (2/3)²

= 4/9

hence, ar( ADE) = 4/9 × 81

= 36cm²
