Here the two triangles are similar, because of a common angle BAC and on DE || BC, the angles on the sides of both the lines are corresponding equal angles.

DE = 4 cm & BC = 8 cm

Here we can understand that the sides of the similar triangles are scaled by 2.

i. e., BC = 2 x DE

For similar triangles scaled by the factor n, their area will be scaled by n².

∴ Area of ΔABC = 4 x Area of ΔAED

= 4 x 25 = 100 cm².

100 cm² is the answer.
