DE || BC
AD = 2.5 cm
DB = 5 cm
AE = 3 cm
EC = x cm
To find :-
EC = ?
Proof :-
DE || BC ( given )
=> triangle ADE ~ triangle ABC
AD ÷ DB = AE ÷ EC ( By basic proportionality theorem )
2.5 ÷ 5 = 3 ÷ x
1 ÷ 2 = 3 ÷ x
x = 3×2
x = 6 cm
