Answer:

TAKE A TRIANGLE AND APPLY PYTHAGORAS THEORY

THUS

AB² + AC² = BC² ( HERE BC IS THE HYPOTENUSE)

ON SUBSTITUTING THE VALUES

(60)² + AC² =(61)²

3600 + AC² = 3721

AC² =121

applying sq root on both the side

AC =11

Answer:

11

Step-by-step explanation:

in triangle ABC

angle A = 90 degree

therefore

by PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

(AB) SQUARE + (AC) SQUARE = (BC) SQUARE

THEREFORE

60 SQUARE + AC SQUARE = 61

3600 + AC SQUARE = 3721

AC SQUARE = 3721-3600

AC SQUARE = 121

AC = 11
