in triangle ABC, length AB = 4.2 cm, length BC = 5.8 cm. What should be the possible length of side AC?

By Pythagoras theorom,

(AB)²+(BC)²= (AC)²

(4.2)²+ (5.8)² = (AC)²

17. 64 + 33. 64 = (51.28)²

Then AC = 7.161
