To Find:- SM = ?

We know that:

In a pair of similar triangles, the corresponding sides are proportional.

$\dfrac{AB} {RS}\:=\:\dfrac{BC} {SM}\:=\:\dfrac{AC} {RM}$

$\dfrac{10} {5}\:=\:\dfrac{12} {SM}$[Don't take AC and RM]

$SM\:=\:\dfrac{12 ×5} {10}$

$SM\:=\:6cm$

Therefore, SM Is 6cm.
