In triangle ABC,S is the circumcentre BC is equal to 72 and DS is equal to 15 cm find the radius of it's circumcentre ​

Answer:

Since ABC is an equilateral triangle

Therefore SD bisects BC.

=>BD=BC/2

=> BD=72/2

=> BD=36 cm

In ∆ABC,

Since angle BDS=90°

Therefore BS^2 = SD^2 + BD^2

=> BS^2 = 15^2 + 36^2

=> BS^2 = 225 + 1296

=> BS^2 = 1521

=> BS = √1521

=> BS = 39 cm

Hence, the radius of the circumcentre is 39cm.
