ab = 2 dc (given)

Since area is proportional to square of side;

Hence,

Area of ∆ ABC = 4 x Area of ACED

But Area of ACED = 56 (given)

=> Area of ∆ ABC = 4 x 56 = 224

So area of ∆ ABC is 224 sq. units.

Hope it's helpful.

Have a nice day. :)
