In triangle FGH, the base has a length of FH = 126.3, and the altitude from G to FH is constructed and has a length of h. What could be the value of h if we know that the area of the triangle is an integer? Indicate all possible values of h.

Solution:

A triangle FGH in which , FH= 126.3 unit ,FH = Base, and altitude from G to FH has length = h unit.

Now, Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height

                                     =1/2 × 126.3 × h square unit

Now we have to find those values of h , for which the area of triangle becomes integer.

Now, 1/2 × 126.3 × h = \frac{1263\times h}{20} →Area of triangle  will be an integer when h= Multiple of 20 i.e 20,40,60,80,........
