In triangle GHK;D,E and F are mid points of sides HK,KG and GH respectively.Show that EFHK is a trapezium and ar (EFHK)is equal to 3/4 ar (triangle GHK)

If D,E,F are the midpoints of the side of a triangle GHKnow in triangle GEF, GE=GK2 nad GF=GH2but on the other hand DF=GK2 and  DE=GH2similarly for the midpoints we can show FE=DK=DH=KH2using mid point theory we can say that the segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half as long as the third side.therefore EF∣∣∣∣ KH and EF=KH2 =DH=KDand previously we have established EG =KG and  similarly GF =FHtherefore the paralleogram EFHK is a trapizieum .therefore all the four triangles arms are asme and hence the area is also same.we can writear (△GEF)=ar(△HDF)=ar(△DEF)=ar(△DKE)=14△GHKnow ar(EFHK)= ar(△HDF)+ar(△DEF)+ar(△DKE)                               =34△GHK
