area=1/2 of b×h

400=1/2(x×2x)

400=x^2

x=√400

x=20 that is base

and height =2x=2×20=40

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Let Base and height be x and 2x.

⇒ 1/2 × x × 2x = 400

⇒ x² = 400

⇒ x = 20

Base = x = 20 cm

Height = 2x = 40 cm

Hence, the length of base and altitude are 20 cm and 40 cm.
