Given : in triangle pqr, angle p=30°, angle q=90° , angle r = 60°

pr= 12 cm

To Find:  pq  and qr

Solution:

∠q = 90°

Hence triangle pqr is right angled at  q

and side opposite to angle q  is  Hypotenuse

Hence pr  is hypotenuse = 12 cm

Cos p =  Side adjacent to angle p / hypotenuse

=> cos 30° = pq/pr

=> √3/2  = pq/12

=> pq = 6√3

length of  pq  is  6√3 cm

sin p =  Side opposite to angle p / hypotenuse

=> sin 30° = qr/pr

=>  1/2  = qr/12

=> qr = 6

length of   qr is  6  cm
